GRAH... ARGH!

I HATE hatefulness

And I love... I try... so hard... to love

I just want
everything
to be okay

I just
want
the truth

shocking?

thunder and lightening on my birthday?

few presents can top that!

Hiding?

If you look back at, well, any of my posts, I don't tend to be the most straightforward.
I Certainly hope that some sense can be readily made of what I say.
Consider this in relation to poetry: I believe that poems should be readily accessible and understandable.

If it's a poem about suicide, I should find that out before I get to class thinking it's some standard Frostian "Yay snow, and woods, and nature, and stuff" (see "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening")
Get too convoluted and subtle, and you start losing readers among the few that are likely to ever even see your poem.

Or do I ask too much to want a homeless man to be able to understand and love a poem, even if it's on the side of the road on a sigle page that fell out of a book 50 years after it's published?
And do I even write any poems clear enough to be understood, or am I falling into this trap that I'm coming to hate so much?

when depressed or overjoyed, and probably other times too

Sometimes I just want to listen to every song... at the same time.

This is more of a poetic longing for the impossible than a practical desire.
I know this mostly because I've tried it.
